

Guidelines for submitting articles to San Javier Today
Hello, and thank you for choosing sanjavier.today to publicise your organisation’s info or event.
San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:
Send an email to editor@spaintodayonline.com or contact@murciatoday.com
Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words
Also attach a photo to illustrate your article, no more than 100kb
April 5 The Day of the Christians in Caravaca de la Cruz
Preparations are under way in Caravaca for the fiestas and the Running of the Wine Horses
Anticipation is already running high in Caravaca de la Cruz as the dates of the annual fiestas in the first week of May draw nearer and nearer, and in preparation for the main events the Christian groups (who parade in rivalry with the Moors during the festivities) are holding their celebratory day on Saturday April 5 in the city centre.
The schedule of events and activities is as follows:
12.00: The opening of the Christian encampment and the gastronomic zone in the Glorieta and the Plaza del Arco.
13.00: The groups take part in a musical parade along the Gran Vía, Calle Mayor and Rafael Tejeo.
16.00: Coffee provided by Cafés Salzillo.
17.00: Music with David Martínez and bar in the Plaza del Arco.
18.00: The groups and their bands begin to arrive.
19.30: Live music from Los Nº 1.
22.00 to 1.00: DJ music and bar in the Plaza del Arco.
