Olympic surfers and world champions compete off the coast of Los Alcázares

April 4 to 6 Spanish windsurf championships in Los Alcázares Over the weekend of April 4 to 6 the C.A.R. Infanta Cristina in Los Narejos (Los Alcázares) is hosting the Spanish Windsurfing Championshop, an event which has attracted top names in the sport including the Spaniards Iván Pastor, Curro Manchón and Anto Domínguez, 7-time world raceboard champion.

Around 100 windsurfers are taking part in a total of 9 events, beginning at 15.00 on Friday 4^th April with the weigh-ins. After that, the best surfers in Spain take to the water of the Mar Menor and spectators are of course welcome to watch from the seafront over the rest of the weekend.

The international Open category has attracted entrants from as far afield as Finland, France, Great Britain, Italy and Japan.
