April 26 Free walk along the newly restored Cejo de los Enamorados route outside Lorca
A picturesque hike in the hilly countryside of the mountains just north of Lorca
The hiking path of the Cejo de los Enamorados, in the mountains to the west of the city of Lorca which stretch all the way to boundary between Murcia and Andalucía, has recently been spruced up by the Town Hall through an investment of approximately 48,000 euros in two of the walkways, following a previous campaign which required a budget of 70,000 euros, and to celebrate its restoration an inaugural walk is being held on Sunday 26th April beginning at 10.00.
All are welcome to join in at the car park of the Taller del Tiempo offices in the former convent of La Merced (telephone 968 479003) and guides from the Asociación Lorca-Santiago y La Carrasca are leading the walk.
Taking part is completely free of charge so come along and enjoy this picturesque route just outside the third largest city in the Region of Murcia!
For more local events, news and visiting information contact the tourist office at the Palacio de Guevara (telephone 968 441914) or go to the home page of Lorca Today.
