April 16 to 19 Burger Fest 3 in Alhama de Murcia
Feasting and live music at the Nueva Espuña fairground as Alhama warms up for the Los Mayos fiestas
As the town of Alhama de Murcia warms up for its annual fiestas in early May the locals (and of course any interested visitors) will be making sure they are well fed at the 3rd pre-fiestas Mayos Burger Fest over the weekend of 16th to 19th April.
The event gets under way at the Recinto Ferial Nueva Espuña (click for map) on Thursday 16th April at 19.30, when the food trucks open for business, and the same timetable the following evening is complemented by live music from La Rueda Coverband at 22.30, followed by MBF DJ Set at 00.30.
On Saturday 18th April the feasting begins once again at 19.30 with music from The Tracks at 22.30 and Pablo Cárceles DJ Sett 00.30, while on Sunday there is a lunchtime session starting early at 11.00 with Espuña Jairox. The food trucks open from 13.00 to 15.00 and then for the last time in the evening, at 19.30.
Throughout the weekend there are various food trucks and Street food stalls as the event cements itself in the annual calendar of events prior to the Los Mayos fiestas, which have been awarded National Tourist Interest status.
For more local events, news and visiting information contact the tourist office (telephone 968 633512) or go to the home page of Alhama Today.
