April 11 Spanish MTB Trial Cup in Lorca
150 riders compete for the trophy at the Parque Almenara in Lorca
Over 150 competitors, both male and female, will be converging on Lorca with the bikes on 11th April for the Spanish MTB Trial Cup at the Parque Almenara shopping complex in the outskirts of the city, with practice sessions lasting from 15.00 to 20.30 the day before and racing proper starting at 9.00 on the day itself.
The event was officially presented in the Plaza de España on 25th March by world champion Daniel Cegarra Moltó and the young local rider Alfonso Méndez Almagro, along with local dignitaries.
MTB trial riding requires high levels of skill, balance and precision as competitors do their best to negotiate a series of obstacles. Speed is not necessarily important, but the competition is still a spectacular sight and a gripping one!
