San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.
When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc
Include all relevant points, including:
Who is the organisation running the event?
Where is it happening?
When?
How much does it cost?
Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?
…but try not to exceed 300 words

April 1 to 5 Semana Santa arts and crafts market in Lorca
The 33rd annual Easter artisans’ market is being held in the Plaza de Calderón in Lorca
The annual Semana Santa arts and crafts market in Lorca is being held this year between April 1 and 5 in the Plaza de Calderón de la Barca, with stalls opening both morning and afternoon every day of the event.
This market always attracts large numbers of people who are in Lorca for the spectacular Semana Santa processions and on this occasion there will be 31 stands set up by craftspeople from all over Spain. Products include jewellery, glassware, silverware, enamels, cosmetics, textiles, leather goods and many others, and a dedicated gastronomy section in the Plaza de Colón.
Although many vendors are from the Region of Murcia others are making the trip from the provinces of Albacete, Alicante, Cantabria, Galicia, Gerona, Granada, Madrid, Segovia, Sevilla, and Toledo.
The exact opening times vary from stall to stall, but the expected timetables are 18.00 to 21.30 on Wednesday 1st, 11.00 to 14.30 and 17.00 to 21.30 on the following three days and 11.00 to 14.30 and 17.00 to 19.30 on Sunday 5th April, Easter Sunday.
