Águilas presents 2026 Carnival poster 4 months in advance!
Preparations are already under way in Águilas for the biggest Carnival fiesta in the Region of Murcia
We are still two months away from Christmas and many shops in Spain haven’t even started selling decorations, full as they are with Halloween costumes and bric-a-brac, but in Águilas preparations are already under way for the 2026 Carnival in late February.
The official poster for the festivities, which are by far the most spectacular in the Region of Murcia and among the best-known in the whole of Spain, was presented on Saturday 25th October, and is the work of Víctor Quiñonero García, who has titled it “Baile de las Águilas”. Over twenty works were submitted for consideration, and the other finalists were created by Marina Martínez Martínez and Ana Belén López Tomás.
