Accommodation in Jumilla: Finca del Olmo

Accommodation in Jumilla: Finca del Olmo

A rural hotel on a large country plot which also includes the Jumilla motor racing circuit

The Finca del Olmo, which is affiliated to the Wine Route of Jumilla, is a rural hotel in the south of the large municipality on an 800-hectare plot which also contains a race track, enabling guests to enjoy karting, race driving classes and a host of other activities.

Despite the motor sports focus, though, this is also a wide swathe of countryside in a beautiful rural environment, with views out towards the mountains of Sierra del Carche to the north (maximum altitude 1,372 metres, higher than Ben Nevis!) and Sierra de la Pila to the south, and the establishment hosts a wide range of special celebratory parties and events. Guests can enjoy hunting, horse riding, clay pigeon shooting, karting, buggy routes, country walks and even helicopter and balloon flights, and this is not restricted to the warm summer months: the open fireplaces provide a welcoming atmosphere all year round.

The accommodation includes standard, standard double and luxury suites, all equipped with heating, air conditioning, TV and bathrooms, and room prices include breakfast.

There is also a restaurant specializing in rice dishes and grilled meat, and a well-stocked wine cellar, as is to be expected given the prestige enjoyed by the Denomination of Origin wines of Jumilla.

How to find Finca del Olmo

Leave the A-33 Murcia-Jumilla motorway at kilometre 25 and take the n-344 road (the old main road which runs alongside) for around 3 kilometres heading north. At the roundabout, turn right (back over the motorway) on the RM-427 towards Pinoso, and after 8 kilometres or so Finca del Olmo is signposted on the right.
