September 4-7 Acho Burger Land Festival brings gourmet burgers and live music to San Javier

ARCHIVED ARTICLE -

Four days of flavours from the Region of Murcia with live acts and family fun

September 4-7 Acho Burger Land Festival brings gourmet burgers and live music to San JavierGet ready to dive into a feast of gourmet burgers with a distinctly Murcian twist at the Acho Burger Land Festival in San Javier. Running from September 4-7 at Almansa Park, this lively event celebrates local ingredients and great music in equal measure, in collaboration with "1001 Flavors of the Region of Murcia."

The festival’s name says it all with the traditional Murcian "Acho" greeting (a friendly exclamation similar to “mate” or “dude”) setting the tone. The burgers on offer showcase regional produce including Murcian "chato" (small hamburgers), with paprika, cheeses, fresh vegetables and local breads, all crafted by 10 food trucks. Visitors can vote for their favourite burger using a QR code, adding an interactive touch to the food competition, which also involves local food critics.

Opening night kicks off at 10pm on Thursday 4 September with a concert from local singer Javi Zapata. Then from Friday to Sunday, the park opens for lunch and dinner with a packed programme of entertainment that includes national artists such as Toni Miss Cafeina, Don Fluor and Second DJ.

For those with a sweet tooth, there will be two dessert stands offering ice cream, cheesecakes and waffles. The San Javier town council’s Festival and Youth Councilor Isabel Madrid, together with organiser Pedro Pallarés, warmly invite residents and visitors to enjoy the festival atmosphere, delicious food and live music.

The festival hours after Thursday’s opening are from 1.30pm and 10pm until 2am on Friday and Saturday, and from midday on Sunday for food service only. Don’t miss this chance to experience a flavourful celebration of Murcia’s finest at the heart of San Javier.
