A series of activities and events are being held in Jumilla to mark European Mobility Week between 16th and 22nd September, the highlight for many being the march through the town centre on Sunday 21st.
Throughout the week a photocall will be held on Paseo Poeta Lorenzo Guardiola, and all those taking part and publishing their images on Instagram and Facebook with the hashtag #JumillaSeMueve2025, tagging the Ayuntamiento de Jumilla, gain entry into a prize draw for two bicycles, a scooter and two cycling helmets.
Thursday 18th September sees the now traditional “Marcha Sostenible contra el Cáncer” in collaboration with the local branch of the AECC cancer charity, beginning at 19.00 on Paseo Poeta Lorenzo Guardiola (click for map), and on Sunday 21st September it’s the turn of the mass walk through the town centre, again starting and ending on Paseo Poeta Lorenzo Guardiola. T-shirts and raffle tickets will be handed out from 10.00 before the walk starts at 11.00, and at the finishing line fruit and a drink of water are supplied. Again, a participants can enter the prize draw.
For those who don’t fancy the walk a zumba class is being held at the same time, while bouncy castles are available for the kiddies, while alongside an electric car will be on display while representatives of Ingeniería Aplicada explain the benefits of using clean energy sources.
