San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.

When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Tour the cheeses and wines of Spain without moving from Pilar and La Torre!

November 9 to 16 Cheese and wine route in Pilar de la Horadada!A welcome variation to the typical “tapas route” is being held in Pilar de la Horadada from 9th to 16th November, with locals and visitors invited to enjoy the very best cheese and wine available both in Pilar and in La Torre.

The “Ruta Cata de Queso y Vino Españoles” is being supported by 11 bars and restaurants in the municipality, offering a carefully chosen selection of artisan cheeses paired with a range of Spanish wines to highlight the different tastes. Some of the cheeses come from other areas of Spain (including Galicia, Menorca, Ávila and Zamora) while the wines represent the diversity of production throughout Spain, and the result is a real festival for gastronomes as you travel throughout the country without leaving Pilar de la Horadada!
