San Javier Today is a website set up by Murcia Today specifically for residents of the urbanisation in Southwest Murcia, providing news and information on what’s happening in the local area, which is the largest English-speaking expat area in the Region of Murcia.

When submitting text to be included on San Javier Today, please abide by the following guidelines so we can upload your article as swiftly as possible:

Attach the information in a Word Document or Google Doc

Include all relevant points, including:

Who is the organisation running the event?

Where is it happening?

When?

How much does it cost?

Is it necessary to book beforehand, or can people just show up on the day?

…but try not to exceed 300 words

A 2.5-km evening stroll through the centuries learning about the history of Pilar de la Horadada and La Torre

November 8 Guided history tour of La Torre de la HoradadaThis summer evening guided tour along the coast of Torre de la Horadada is being held for the last time on Saturday 8th November, starting  at 17.00 and lasting around 2 hours as walkers make their way from Mil Palmeras to the 16th-century watchtower which gives La Torre its name.

The tour begins at the car park of Playa del Río in Mil Palmeras (click here for map) and is free of charge with explanations given in Spanish as the group heads 2.5 km south along the coast.
