Five of the best water parks in Spain to visit this summer
Shark slides, three-metre waves and Europe's first water coaster are among the highlights this year
Siam Park
Siam Park in Tenerife sits at the top of almost every list, and for good reason. Voted the best water park in the world ten times over, its Thai-inspired setting gives it an atmosphere that completely sets it apart from anything else on this list.
The headline attraction is the Tower of Power, a 28-metre drop slide that passes through a pool containing sharks, but Kinnaree, a 200-metre water slide, and The Wave Palace, with waves reaching up to three metres high, are equally impressive.
During the summer months it also opens at night with live DJ sets, which makes for a completely different kind of experience.
Caribe Aquatic Park
PortAventura's Caribe Aquatic Park in Salou goes big on the Caribbean theme with white sand, palm trees and an impressive line-up of attractions. King Khajuna is the star, a 31-metre free-fall slide that draws queues all day, but this summer there's added excitement with the debut of Coral Bay, The Lost Legend, a brand new family area featuring four new attractions including Cyclone, set to be the first water coaster in Europe.
Warner Beach Park
Warner Beach Park, just outside Madrid, takes a different approach by weaving DC Comics, Looney Tunes and Hanna-Barbera characters throughout its thirteen attractions. The result is a park that works brilliantly for families with children, with themed zones dedicated to Superman sitting alongside gentler Looney Tunes areas and Malibu Beach, a wave pool with views across to the neighbouring Warner Park roller coasters.
Aquopolis
Also near Madrid, Aquopolis Villanueva de la Cañada is well regarded for offering something for every type of visitor, from high-speed rides to quieter spots for those who prefer to take it easy. New for 2026 is Kilauea, joining existing favourites Black Hole and Kangaroo for thrill-seekers, while Tiki Island keeps younger children entertained with its dedicated children's area and artificial beach.
Western Water Park
Over in Mallorca, Western Water Park leans fully into its Wild West theme, with wooden décor and cowboy-inspired details throughout. The Beast, a 30-metre free fall, and Big Hole, an enclosed slide, are the main draws for adrenaline seekers, while Boomerang, Grand Canyon and children's areas including The Alamo make sure the whole family is catered for.
