December 13 Free guided cycling tour of open-air urban art in Los Alcazares

The cycle tour in Los Alcázares offers a mixture of history and urban art

December 13 Free guided cycling tour of open-air urban art in Los AlcazaresThis popular bicycle tour of the centre of Los Alcázares is being held again on Saturday 27th September to mark World Tourism Day and includes some of the town’s most attractive locations. There are more than 200 murals in this impressive open-air collection, some by internationally renowned artists.

The route starts at the tourist information office at 10.00.

Along the ride those taking part will be able to learn something of the history of the municipality of Los Alcázares as well as view the more modern pieces of urban art.

Commentary is in Spanish and the route is aimed at a family audience, the aim being to enjoy the scenery by bicycle rather than breaking any cycling speed or endurance records!

All ages are welcome: just bring your own bike. If you haven´t got one and would like to borrow one, contact the tourist office after booking and bicycles can be provided free of charge.

The tour takes approximately two hours (with frequent stops), so it is advisable to carry water and wear a protective hat.

Bookings and further information are available from the tourist office in Los Alcázares (Avenida 13 de Octubre nº 12, telephone 968 575756, email turismolosnarejos@gmail.com), and will shortly be made available online here.

For more local news, events and visiting information contact the tourist offices in Los Alcázares or go to the home page of Los Alcázares Today.
