December 4 to 8 Annual patron saint fiestas in Los Narejos
Los Narejos celebrates the feast day of the Immacuulate Conception
Every year the Los Narejos districts of Los Alcázares celebrates the national holiday of the Feast of the Immaculate Conception with its own fiestas, due to the Virgen de la Purísima Inmaculada Concepción being the town’s official patron.
This year the programme includes the lighting of the Christmas tree and a series of musical events and festive hamper raffles:
Thursday December 4
19.30: The Christmas lights are turned on in the Plaza Miguel de Cervantes and Christmas cacti are handed out to those attending.
20.30: Raffle for Christmas hampers at the Pabellón Municipal La Palestra.
Friday December 6
18.00: Raffle for Christmas hampers at the Pabellón Municipal La Palestra.
22.00: The official opening speech of the fiestas at the Pabellón Municipal La Palestra.
23.00: A live concert, tribute to Spanish pop group Estopa, at the municipal marquee in the CISSMU car park.
Saturday December 6
12.00: The big migas competition with free tastings for all as well as entertainments for the kiddies and the rest of the family, in Avenida del Ferrocarril close to the CISSMU building.
13.00: Live music from Salitre at the municipal marquee in the CISSMU car park.
20.30: Raffle for Christmas hampers at the Pabellón Municipal La Palestra.
Sunday December 7
11.00: Children’s day begins at the municipal marquee in the CISSMU car park (face painting, bouncy castles, songs and games…)
16.30: An afternoon of music with Mar y Limón at the fiestas marquee.
20.30: Raffle for Christmas hampers at the Pabellón Municipal La Palestra.
Monday December 8
9.00: Musical parade in Avenida de la Constitución.
10.00: Holy Mass in honour of the Purísima Inmaculada Concepción.
10.30: The procession of the figure of the Virgin starts at the church of Los Narejos.
20.30: Raffle for Christmas hampers at the Pabellón Municipal La Palestra.
23.00: The fiestas end with a grand firework display at the CISSMU building.
